Hi everyone! I haven’t seen a thread specifically for Fall 2020’s SFSU BSN program so I figured I would start it ?
My stats are:
Science + Pre-Req GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 93.3%

CONGRATS! I don’t use facebook very often so I’m not sure how to make a group, and I don’t believe anyone has made one yet.
Hi everyone, I'm a 2015 SFSU SON grad, I work at ZSFGH---
I know housing is a HUGE issue. My next door neighbor has a furnished studio inlaw and wants to rent it to a nursing student. It is available immediately and It's a steal! The studio is located just off of Lake Merced near John Daly Blvd, a Trader Joe's, etc. I used to ride my bike, and/or take the bus to school. There is plenty of free parking in our neighborhood. The studio has no kitchen and is for one person only.
You can email me at my SFSU email [email protected]
@IJUSTGOTHERE Hey, SFSU will send us instructions with how to enroll for for our classes and the spots are already reserved for us. I'm not sure when they are going to contact us tho. Classes are fully online but they might make exceptions for labs and clinical classes, nothing is for sure yet sadly. The nursing website has a program roadmap if your interested in seeing what classes are planned out.
Hi everyone!
My name is Megan and I was accepted to the SFSU Fall2020 BSN program! I actually just got a call from SJSU saying that I was accepted their BSN program as well (the email went to spam and they just now reached out, how frustrating) and they want a decision by Monday. I am trying to compare the two schools but I have already accepted the offer letter to SFSU and know exactly what additional courses I need to take to graduate there. Pretty sure I am sticking to my original decision and will be attending SFSU as I think I will be happier there and will graduate sooner but I think SJSU is worth considering. Any thoughts? Has anyone done the research on which is the better program?
@IJUSTGOTHERE @Crad You have to sign up for an orientation date on your student center for a registration date. I would check both your personal and school email for a link and instructions. You first have to accept your offer letter and pay the fee, then you can register for orientation, and the date that you do orientation will be the date you can register for classes. The advisor you are paired with for orientation will help you with registration but as we are in the nursing program we do not get to pick classes, they will be assigned to us.
Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth, but I go by Betty. I was just accepted from the waitlist this morning. I accepted my offer from East Bay a couple of weeks ago, but am now leaning towards SF State as I'm sure some of you may have heard, our cohort got deferred to Fall 2021. I just wanted to check-in with you all and ask if there is anything else that we must do after registering for the university's orientation. (The university's orientation is mandatory, correct?) Also, does anyone know what additional upper division GE courses or extra courses we must take for SF State? I just sent a request to be in the facebook group as well. ?
@huertaelizabeth25 Congratulations on making it into SFSU (if you choose to accept)! What good timing with CSEB deferring the BSN program for a year. Yes, orientation is mandatory (that's how you will be able to register for classes) so sign up for the earliest date you can. You do have to accept your offer and pay the $100 fee before you can sign up for orientation though. The nursing orientation will be held via Zoom on August 3rd and that is also mandatory.
Here is a link to look at the Upper and Lower-division courses: required: http://bulletin.sfsu.edu/undergraduate-education/general-education/upper-division/
And here is a link for the BSN grad requirements, some of them overlap like UD-D, AERM, & SJ: http://bulletin.sfsu.edu/colleges/health-social-sciences/nursing/BSN/#degreerequirementstext
Good luck!
