Serious question regarding TEAS

Published

I did not want to sound like those guys who got a 99% and ask if its a good score, but I do genuinely have a concern about my exam score.

i got a 86% total

layout like this

reading = 80.9% (ran out of time...read too slow prob missed like ten at the end)

math = 100%

science = 89.4% (had tons of left field questions NOT related to bio/anatomy lol)

english = 66.7%....

so here lies my worries. My English scores are way below average and honeslty I think it was due to me psyching out toward the end. I really do not want to retake this exam, but would admissions see my super low score as an issue? I have been known to write good papers (all A grades) during undergrad, but apparnelty my English technical skills are horrible lol

I wanted to any of your with experience if the total score is more important, or if they look at individual scores.

Your scores depend on where you are applying. Some schools only care about your adjusted individual score. Then, there are others that require you get above a specific adjusted individual score and they will have the break down of what is the minimum score per section they require. I applied to 3 schools all with different requirements regarding the TEAS test. Browse the applications and information packets of the schools you are applying to and they should say what they require. Also, you can call the school and ask what is a competitive score for that particular school. Some schools you can get in with a low score...Other schools will require a pretty high score. It all varies from place to place.
