Serious New Grad RN for Corrections

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello All!!!:D

I am very serious about working in a coorectional facility in San Diego or in the surrounding counties. I am not a person to be afraid of "prisoners" or "bad guys." I am going to take my NCLEX this month, yet I am going to graduate with a BSN in July 2010. I am smart enough to be cautious and wise enough to still give the same quality of care that any human deserves; and besides, I was one of those prisoners, I just got a break. I am looking for a little insight on if any new graduate has been hired as a corrections nurse. Any experienced nurses with some insight would really be valuable. Thanks in advance.

Any other certifications that count?

Well, if you have assessed a pt following med administration there are 3 responses 1) Never did that 2) did this during training (school) only and 3) Something on the lines of " I do this on a daily basis." Hope this helps.
