What does a sequential test involve? My patient's admitting diagnosis was a GI bleed and a MI replacement. I do my share of hw, but i dont feel confident that i'm getting the correct answers so i'm asking people for a second opinion.

Ok. What do you have so far? Show us what you have and then we can help with the rest.

A sequential test is a blood test to see if your child has down's syndrome and it's used for a sonogram....i'm not sure though.

Here is a link that may help you. http://www.levinswomenshealth.com/services/obstetrics/sequentialTesting.shtm

It's not a test to confirm if the baby has Down Syndrome but it's a test to see which mothers are at high risk for Down Syndrome and neural tube defects. The above link will help explain the two step procedure and at what stage of pregnancy this test occurs.

cool,that was helpful :nurse:
