I am a scholarship recipient from a hospital in Atlanta, and I have been practicing at the clinical site for the last three semesters. I will be completing my leadership/senior practicum (this fall) in ICU-Cardiology, Baylor shifts, 7A-7P. I am also graduating this December (yay!)
Well, here's the curious part - how much influence does your leadership placement and experience have over your placement when you apply for a job/position in a particular unit (say, ICU in my case)?
Thanks!

I'll be honest...I know quite a few of my fellow new grads were offered their positions during or after their leadership placements in ER, ICU, etc....so I do think it plays a small role. If you come off as someone who is knowledgable, and able to work well and learn...you'll probably get some preference.
