where to send surgical instruments for repair?

Hi Randy,

I'm an RN in Sitka Alaska, and I've worked in East Texas also. The most common place where surgical instruments get repairs done in most facilities is (believe it or not) in Germany. I know of an RN from East Texas that actually moved to Germany and works on repairing surgical instruments. Hope you found this helpful! Danna in Alaska

Wow, another nurse from East Texas that moved away. It is so funny that you mention a nurse from Germany. My girlfriend dated an RN named Randy that moved to Germany. She is quite mad at him for leaving her to deal with her baby all alone. She has me to help her now though. So tell me what you do in Alaska?

Sitka Alaska hospital where I am do mostly routine surgeries. Most of the extensive surgeries are flown out to Anchorage. I will check with the surgery dept. here. I'm sure they send their instruments out for repair. ....to answer your question....I started out a travel nurse here in Sitka through Nurses Northwest Services out of Seattle Washington. I just recently signed on with the hospital. ...........Alaska RN :-)

Thats really cool. How is the weather up there? One day I would like to come up there and work. That is as soon as Sharons baby is old enough to travel. Are there a lot of tourists up there in the Summer? What kind of patients do you have to deal with most of the time? Here in Longview we have a LOT of medicaid patients and if you have worked here I am sure you know what I mean.
