Seminole State Traditional and Concurrent UCF Spring 2020

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone!!

I thought I would start a thread on here as applications will be due in a couple of weeks. I have read other threads for this particular program and am really nervous about applying. I heard that this pass Fall 2019 semester only category ones were accepted with a TEAS score of 87 and higher. I am applying to the traditional track which is already really limited but hopefully I will still make it in since Spring is considered less competitive.

Stats

GPA 3.9

Science GPA 4.0

TEAS 79.3 ?

Hi!

i know Seminole has become super competitive, and my stats aren’t the best either but I’m going to apply just in case...because you never know. I didn’t do as great on my first bachelors in Health Science from ucf. I was working full time and young and didn’t take it serious enough. But now I’m grown up (kind of ?), been working as a medical assistant for a couple years, and decided nursing school and then a nurse practitioner program is my way to go rather than PA school.

Cumulative GPA: 3.3

prereq gpa: 2.9 :(( I was literally a B student at UCF lol

TEAS: 88.7%

its a long shot but I’m not too worried about it. I also applied to Polk State’s program and will be applying to Daytona State as well. Good luck to everyone else applying!

You have an amazing TEAS score, I feel like you have a chance! Did you apply for traditional track or concurrent UCF one? I was looking up statistics for the concurrent program for past semesters and you definitely stand a chance! Unfortunately I was unable to find any statistics on the generic program.

Hey Everyone,

This is my second time applying to the Seminole Program. I applied to the Generic Full Time ASN program for this Fall but it was super competitive. I had a 3.54 pre req GPA and an 82 teas and my advisor said that they were waitlisting people with Tea scores of 85 and only taking in teas scores of 87 or higher in Category 1. I feel like the Concurrent program was easier to get into compared to the ASN program but I want to get my ASN and start working right away and work on my BSN online while working. Before I applied, my advisor told me they usually taking people in Category 1 and 2 in the ASN program but it was just a really competitive pool for this fall. My overall GPA is a 3.6. One of my coworkers I use to work with applied three times before she even got into the seminole program. She applied for fall, spring and summer. She got into summer term and was a category 3 with the minimum teas scores needed. It just honestly really depends on the applicant pool. Seminole's program is getting harder to get into. I'm turning in my packet this upcoming Tuesday. I also applied to Polk State's program this time around, which I hear is a really good program to. I know someone who went through their program and got multiple offers before even graduating. But Seminole is my top choice out of the two. Good Luck to you all!!!!!

I was last to put in my application today at the Altamonte campus and I was number 46 in the notebook. I had time to look over and count who was planning on doing concurrent and who was doing traditional track. I found that 12 out of the 46 are choosing traditional track and the other 34 had selected concurrent. I have class on Thursday evening so I will try to swing by after class if it is still open like it was today and see how many applied at the point. I get out of class at 8:30 pm and the office was still open, the reason I went back was because I forgot to fill out the notebook.

I dropped off mines earlier today too around 5pm. I signed the book but I didn't even check to see what number I was in. I was trying to check how many people applied for the ASN daytime program and concurrent but there were people going in and out of the office so I didn't want to make it seem like I was taking my time with it. It just happened so fast. Good Luck everyone!

I signed up Friday August 30th #87. Traditional track, 3rd time applying.

If I get accepted into the Seminole State Program, I am mostly going to decline my seat. I applied to the traditional program. This was my second time applying but I applied to another great program that is offering me better financial aid and they want everything done by November 1st so I already started the process and getting things done for theirs. It was a really tough choice for me to decide between both programs because Seminole is also a wonderful program.

I am so happy for you! Did you already get accepted to the Polk State Nursing program? I wish you all the best of luck in school and who knows maybe we will even be working together some day :)!

Yes I did get into the Polk State Program. Thank you very much, I greatly appreciate it. I just didn't want to regret it if I didn't get into Seminole's program and have to start the process all over again. I was very apprehensive at first about it but I think I have made the right decision. And maybe we will ? I will keep you updated if I get into Seminole's program too.

Tomorrow is exactly six weeks. Hopefully we find out some news

I applied to the concurrent (and the other programs if not accepted). 3.9 pre-req gpa and 82% on the TEAS. Guess I'll need to take my TEAS again if I don't get in (ugh!)
