Seminole State College or Graduate School?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - I would love any comments, facts, opinions, on what course of educational plan I should take.

I currently hold a bachelors of science in psychology from UCF.

I can either apply for the ADN program at Seminole State OR go to graduate school for Clincial Mental Health Counseling at Stetson University. (Which I've already been accepted.)

Here are my concerns for each:

Seminole State

it's only the ADN program, not the BSN because my overall GPA from my 1st bachelors isn't high enough.

Stetson

it costs like 50,000 for tuition (private school) that's a lot of debt!

I know i want to be in the medical field helping other people, I just can't decide which avenue to go down.

PLEASE HELP???

The two roles (RN and LPC) are extremely different. I suggest you spend some time investigating both roles, shadowing people in both roles if possible, and decide which you would rather do.

You say that your undergrad degree is in psych -- is there some reason you're not looking at graduate programs in psychology (instead of counseling)?
