The first semester is the hardest to me because you are getting used to the schedule, instructors, and the set up of the whole program.
Just stay organized, study, and you should be fine. So far as your schedule I'm not sure because each school is different but be prepared to spend alot of hours in theory, lab, clinical and the library. Nursing school is almost like have a 40 hr a week job.

I am going into my fourth semester in the Nursing program and for me the first two semesters were the hardest. This is a whole new life style that you are entering in and it will affect your life in every way.
The best advice I can give you is to:

I've liked the comments so far. One thing they didn't mention is the skills that you will/may learn. I'm at the end of my first semester in the Accelerated BSN at UCF (orlando):
sites: for comm health clinical: I taught kids twice, assisted in getting vitals at low-income clinics, hung out with elderly. for essentials (2nd half of semester): Nursing home, performing bed baths, assessment, pass meds once w/ teacher.
skills: vital signs, injections, wound care, bed bath, IV Fluids, catheter
