Look at each answer individually and ask yourself a True/False question.
So if the question is:
What color can an apple be
1. Pink
2. Red
3. Yellow
4. Blue
5. Green
Look at each choice and ask yourself "Can an apple be pink?" No. "Can an apple be red?" Yes. Continue that was until you have answered all the choices.
Another alternative is to reverse the question and eliminate the answers that you know are wrong. Then make your choices from the remaining selections.
Also, don't be concerned by how many choices you have selected. If there are six options, there may only be two right answers or there may be four. Don't worry about feeling like you haven't chosen enough or have chosen too many.
Most of my SATA's on the NCLEX were not as hard as the multiple choice.
Good luck!
Just to add to what Ashley said. Do not select any answer that you aren't sure of, even if it sounds familiar, chances are that all the choices will look convincing anyways, so select ONLY answers you are REALLY sure of, especially if you know you have studied that topic well.
Good luck!
