I am a nurse practitioner student seeking a preceptor (MD, NP, or PA) in family practice, primary care, or urgent care for forty-five clinical hours for practicum in health assessment for Spring 2021. The deadline to find a preceptor is October 6, 2020, or I'll lose a semester, which I don't want to happen. My school has provided some contacts but no luck. Any assistance would be much appreciated!

Hi!
Did you have any luck finding a preceptor? I'm looking for one too. I just finished my clinicals for this semester and am looking for another for the next one. PM me if you want details on my last preceptor. I'm in Houston as well.

What kind of clinical experiences are you seeking?

I'm looking for 1) primary care, 2) ob/gyn, and 3) pediatrics. They're all lined up one after the other starting January 2021, so I'm trying to find preceptors while I still have free time. My deadline for #1 is November. My deadline for #2 and 3 is in January.

I'll PM you a few names to inquire for primary care. I have no resources for the other 2.
I got in with Dr. Ramos! Thank you so much @LadyT618!

Hello @LadyT618 I am also an NP student looking for preceptors in family practice, primary care, or urgent care. Could you please send me contacts? Any contacts would be appreciated. I've tried to PM you yet it wouldn't allow me. Thank you so much!

Hi, are you in Houston? I have a preceptor that is open to students. She is near Cypress. Email me at [email protected] if you want her information.

Hi all,
I am currently looking for a Houston AGPCNP track preceptor. I start on 2/23/22 and I haven't been able to find a great primary care site for rotation. I'm close to deferring to the next semester. I've been accepted to mostly outpatient subspecialty clinics but that does not fulfill the requirements. My background is oncology and infectious disease. I'm open to internal medicine, LTC or any older adult practice. If you have any contacts you could share I would be over the moon!
Thanks for the help,
James
