My husband and I are thinking about moving to the El Paso area. I am presently in the process of completeing my prereq's for nursing school to be come an Lpn here in the Springfield, illinois area. The information we need concerns Rental property Job availibilty for LPN and lastly I could use some contact information reference to entering Lpn schooling in the El Paso area as we know very little information about that area.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give us.

Hi msteddy, We have two LVN schools in El Paso, the community college (EPCC) and Anamarc College. I want to start LVN school in the fall so I have been checking them out and so far the community college was very discouraging. The counselor there kept telling me how hard it was and how many students fail out and itis about two to three yrs but when you are done you can go straight into the RN program. At this point I don't know if I really want to go there, it just sounds so hard. My friend is going to Anamarc College starting this month and she said they are very friendly, it only takes about a year or a little more, they have small classes and their NCLEX scores are higher than the community college. I am going there on Monday to see for myself what that school is all about. There was another LVN school but I think they are closed because I called them and they are not taking any new students anymore. I know for sure that everyone says not to stop with an LVN and to go for the RN. Hope this helps alittle and welcome to El Paso. Laura
Sorry, I almost forgot the websites so you can check for yourself www.anamarc.edu and www.epcc.edu .
