Seeking info: Acute Erythroblastic Leukemia

Hi all,

I will begin my career as an oncology nurse on October 24th, so I have been lurking in this forum.

A friend of a friend has been diagnosed with this type of leukemia, and my friend (who is also an RN) is seeking information about prognosis and progression of the disease. She has a real stake in the outcome because her friend has asked her to take care of her daughter when the time comes. Of course my friend hopes that won't be the case.

Do any of you have any experience with this disease - and, if so, can you give us some kind of an idea about prognosis and future treatment? I know that she has yet to receive a bone marrow transplant, but they're thinking of doing it in the near future. She is on chemo, but she has received no improvement (sorry, I don't know the name of the chemo)
