Just a quick question. How long did it takes for you guys to see your name and license# on the NJ BON after passing the NCLEX RN. I passed mine last week and didnt see nothing yet. Thanks for your input.

i'd imagine it moves at the speed of beauracracy. Consider the string of government holidays we just got through, factor in the back log that that created and estimate th amount of new work they were given. Give it about a month. Congrats, too!
Thanks you for this info. Can you apply for a job without a license # ? what can you tell your empployer about your license if they are willing to hire you.?

Prospective employers can call the BON and get confirmation on their phone system. Don't quote me, but I think they update that quicker than the website, which I believe they only do monthly. Also, you license gets generated from Trenton, so it needs some time to get in the mail, but you may have it in hand even before it shows up on the website. Congratulations!
Thanks you for the information. Is the phone system works when they have a license # for verification? I just want to try to figure out how it works. I had a job proposal and I don't want to wait a month and so...also I need a type of proof....My pearson vue result isnt official/legal for me to practice.
from the boe site . . . don't worry, any employer can get verification if you don't have license in hand.
"the board's verification line provides current, updated information regarding any new jersey licensee's status. a faxed copy of the report is available from this line upon request, just follow the prompts. the verification telephone number is (973) 273-8090. the board also has an online directory that is updated around the first of each month. it can provide general information about licensure status and expiration dates. the board's website address is www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/nursing/
if you are not able to verify an individual's licensure by calling the verification telephone number or if an individual cannot provide evidence of current licensure, contact the board of nursing's verification representative at (973) 504-6504 to verify the licensure status of that individual. be prepared to provide all relevant information, including correct spelling of name."
Thanks for the time you took to answer me...
