How many of u guys have a second job? Does it benefit you more than overtime. I work full time icu 3 days a week and just got hired for a second icu per diem position at a different hospital. I was working a lot of overtime but got killed in taxes. Do you guys work different per diem jobs then your primary to break up the monotony?

Our tax guy who specializes on tax returns for nurses told us DO NOT quit the second job...lol... Guess it saves us on taxes and increases our write offs.

You should be getting all your money back on your tax returns if you are getting taxed way more for overtime. There is no reason that you should be getting taxed more for overtime other than from earning more money. They are probably just withholding more from your paycheck.
I agree with you, they are just holding it from my check and ill get it back in my tax return. I am a single male and i claim zero so they take quite a bit out. Last year i paid 18500 after tax adjustments.
