...it shut off at 75 questions!! I felt good walking out of there, but now I'm second guessing myself. I did Kaplan, and was on track with my scores, and a lot of my test SEEMED like higher level... I even got three SATA questions at the very end, which my Kaplan live review instructor said were higher level.
BUT THEN... I started reading, kept coming across posts here and elsewhere that SATA could very well be lower level. I honestly don't think I did a horrible job with my test, but now I'm not so sure of myself.
Somebody help me before I attempt the PVT!!!! (Joking. Mostly.)

The more posts you read and search regarding the types of questions you got, the more you're going to second guess your self! STOP IMMEDIATELY, for the sake of your sanity. I felt good after I took my NCLEX this past June (stopped at 75), came home and and began searching and reading forums, NCLEX sites, etc...pretty much I convinced myself for two days that I failed when I actually had passed!
Go watch Netflix, hang out with friends, or do anything beside searching and reading about questions. Block websites if you have to! Wait the 48 hours and pay for quick results if your state participates. From what I've seen on the forum, the PVT has not been accurate. Keep your self busy and you won't be tempted to try it!
For a little reassurance, approximately 90% of US educated students pass the NCLEX the first time

Here is a post of mine from a while ago
This is the third post this week by people worried about the test stopping at 75 questions. There are only two reasons for the test to stop at 75.1. You did extremely well on the test and you passed.2. You did very bad on the test and had no chance of passing.Anything in between and you would have gotten more questions. Did you do extremely well in school? (you passed) or barely passed nursing school? (you failed)

Go do something (anything legal haha) to take your mind off the NCLEX. Go have fun, go relax because you deserve it! :)

It is true SATA could be either high or low level questions. I felt like I bombed the test when I finished at 75, I was sure of it - but I passed. Most people do. Do something to take your mind off of this until your results are available. Everyone I have spoken to that passed in 75 thought for sure they failed, it is an extremely common feeling

OP. I'm finding myself in a similar neurotic mess. The difference being that I left today after the computer shut off at 75 and went and did the pvt, and at the risk of some regulars here giving me a hard time, I did it four more times. I have got the "good pop-up" every time and have resolved myself to actually waiting until 24 hours have passed before doing it again. I am still wound very tightly and find little solace in the consistent pvt results. Logically I can even the connection that if it won't take my money and I shut off in 75 then there is not likely to be a change after 24 hours and most threads point to a correlation between the good pop-up on the pv and passing
It is true that all can pass and fail at 75, but if you were a solid student then you should feel good about the 75 questions.
Thanks, everybody!!
I went out for dinner with my hubby and kids, had some gelato, and pretty much continued to Google stuff, to my husband's dismay.
Thankfully, the AZBON is good about updating their website the next day, so I shouldn't have to agonize for long!

I completely get that feeling! Mine shut off also at or around 75 ( I stopped looking). I was sure I failed when it shut off, but the logger I wait for results the more I keep convincing myself that it's bad. Unfortunately my state doesn't offer quick results and I'm still waiting!
I passed!!!!!! Now I can quit driving myself (and hubby) up the wall... :)
I passed too!!!!!
Congratulations!!
