Hi Everyone!
I'm starting this topic for those who are applying to 2nd-entry programs, to start in 2014.
A bit about myself:
I'll be applying to University of Ottawa and University of Toronto.
Graduated with a Social Science degree from Ottawa U w/ 7.2 CGPA (aka 3.33 on 4.0 scale, or a B+)
A lot of community involvement in health promotion, youth counseling programs, women's health research..
Currently taking the prerequisites...
I'm kind of nervous about the applications because I know how competitive these programs are... Any advice from current 2-year BScN students would be great!
Let's get this thread going
3.92 GPA, B.Sc. in Bio and B.A. in Psychology, over 3 years of research experience in several labs (neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and attention lab), volunteered in the hospital in high school and as a private practice assistant in university. I wish I knew why they didn't like me..
Hi everyone! I got an email from UofT today, and I've been put in their first group waitlist (:)/:(). I spoke to an admissions officer last week, and she told me that all rejections have already been handed out, and second and third priority waitlist groups have also been notified. So basically, if you haven't heard from UofT yet, you're either in the first group waitlist or accepted. Things are positive, don't lose hope! On a side note, does anyone happen to know the chances of being accepted if you're in the first group waitlist? Thanks!
Hi everyone! This is my first post and I've been following the thread for awhile now. I got an email last week about being on the waitlist. I recently emailed them about it and they told me I was in the second group and probably wouldnt hear back from them until late Aug depending on the number of spots. Does anyone know about how many people are in each group?
On a side note, does anyone happen to know the chances of being accepted if you're in the first group waitlist? Thanks!
Since they told me second group may not hear back from them until late Aug, I'm assuming you have pretty good chances of getting accepted early July to early Aug!
hi everyone, i contacted uottawa for admission stats and just wanted to share with you guys incase anybody's interested. although they have very limited spots, their cut off gpa doesn't seem as high so thats one more option available for next year :)
In 2013, we admitted 18 candidates to this program in English. In 2014, we admitted 24 candidates.
The cut off average for this program was 78% in 2013 and 77% in 2014.
