Hello,
Over the past two years I have pursued a career in industrial design/engineering. I am now thinking about going back to school for nursing, I have looked at a few accelerated programs near New York (NYU, UCONN). Is there any recommended place where I can take my pre-reqs? Also if you have any additional tips on other nursing programs, or pre-reqs or anything... feel free to leave a post. Slightly nervous jumping into Nursing since it is very different to my current career, so any help will go a long way!
thanks everyone!

I would recommend taking pre req courses at a community college and transferring them in. I would recommend trying to get healthcare experience if possible. I am certainly no expert as I am going through the process myself (taking pre reqs now) but I feel that would be a good start. Good luck

I graduated from an ABSN across the pond from NY. You may want to expand your search. As PP mentioned, I took all my prereqs at the community college. For ABSNs it is a requirement to take your required prereqs before applying to the program.
ABSNs are tough but manageable. Time management is the key.
Nursing was a big change for me too especially when I started working as one, but I enjoy is much more than my previous career. I also make more money. Good luck!
