Hi everyone!I'm having my SEC this October 2012 at Kwantlen in Langley. Is there anyone who is on the same boat?
Hi Sandeep,I have to do an SEC for BC too, mine is just in Paediatrics and General nursing, as I'm Adult Trained, I have ordered a Canadian based medical-surgical book and The Fundamentals of Canadian Nursing. I don't actually mind if I have to do a Re-Entry programme, as I think it is only for a year...and it would be a brilliant foundation for learning about Canadian Nursing, just look at it as a positive thing, It is for the benefit of Canadian patients at the end of the day that you practice safely.

Hi Tina,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I have brought some books from Amazon.ca, and started to update my knowledge as Im only paediatric nurse. How long did you have to wait for SEC assessment date. Im still waiting, I heard its long waiting list. Im waiting since end of Aug for date. How was you SEC? Is it hard?
I have also applied for practical nursing, just incase CRNBC takes too long for registration.
Thanks a lot Tina. Keep in touch

Hi Sandeep,
Its nice to know another nurse is headed for BC also, what part are you going to? I was given a date to sit my exam in February but I have asked to be kept on the waiting list, as someone in my family has been diagnosed with Cancer..so I am having to delay things a little, I am hoping I can take the exam in end of april or may as I intend on moving to BC at the end of March hopefully... and no I have not had the SEC yet... I have also got some Amazon.ca text books, but there is SOOO much info its hard to know where to start... Are you moving over with family or is it just you?
I have an email address also if you would like to keep in touch.
