UW seems to be a favorite of local staff nurses. Of course, while I don't hear much about Harborview, it is a level one trauma center and part of UW (I did walk in there once and the staff was busy but cheerful so perhaps that reflects happy staff). Didn't like Swedish but I'm not medsurg and there can be dramatic differences between floors and shifts. All it takes to make a great assignment is one manager. Or destroy it. Hard to get information that granular for sure.
Considering Seattle traffic issues, you might pick one location simply based on convenience to housing, and take your chances with the rest. In that regard, Swedish main campus and Harborview are within a block or so of each other. I lived about a mile and a half away and commuted by bicycle so traffic didn't affect me getting to work.
I really like UW Hospital Northwest. I actually enjoyed it so much I went back a year or so later & did another assignment there. The first time I lived in Maplewood & the second time in Northgate. Both were only 10 min from the hospital, inexpensive (AirBnbs) & convenient to bus stops & coffee shops. Seattle is a lot of fun, definitely one of my top 10 cities!

All the way from Texas LOL. Any insight on medical surgical nursing in Seattle and best places to work at? I see UW, Harborview and Swesih w travel nurse opportunities.
Any information or advice is greatly appreciated!
Thank you
