Seattle Children's November 2021 RN Residency

Hi all! I wanted to start a thread for all of those that applied to the November 2021 nurse residency cohort at Seattle Children's Hospital! Which units did everyone apply to and what experience do you have?

I applied to Cancer care, medical, and surgical! 
I worked as a tech for a children’s hospital in Texas for a year and got in a decent amount of clinical hours during nursing school!

Hi there! I applied for their NICU. I completed my senior preceptorship in a NICU so I'm hoping for the best!

When you guys applied did you receive an automated email with dates for the May cohort? I'm not sure why I did, but do you guys mind sharing the correct information for this cohort? Thanks so much!

I got the May cohort dates as well! I was worried. I think it must have just been a fluke in the system. I don’t know what the dates are for our cohort.

OK I'm glad it wasn't just me! I was worried my app didn't go through. Are you applying from in-state or out of state?

I am from Texas! I did school there and moved to Washington after graduation to live with my sister while I look for work! What about you?

I'm from Arizona! How do you like living in Washington so far? Have you applied to any other hospitals?

I love it! The weather has been really nice and the Pacific Northwest has always been a dream of mine! I tried for Harborview but haven’t heard back. ?

Hi everyone!

I applied to medical, surgical, and cancer care. I had my Peds clinical and senior practicum at Seattle Children’s. I also worked as a nurse tech at Harborview. 

Did anyone get an offer to interview or know when they will be sending those out?

I'm from NY and applied for both the acute care and critical care tracks! Unfortunately my peds clinical was cancelled due to covid, but I've been a CNA on a pediatric unit in a hospital for the last year so I'm hoping that helps! I haven't heard anything from them, but I know they said they will be emailing people until the 10th regarding interviews.

Not yet. I saw from the last cohort that it seemed like emails came out a few days before the review process closes so I imagine emails will roll out this coming week up to the end of the review period. (I think I saw some people didn’t find out until a couple days before review period closed)
