Seattle Children's New Grad Residency Winter 2018

Hello, hello,

I wanted to start up a new grad post for those of us applying to Seattle Children's residency program for winter 2018 (starting March 5, 2018).

The three units I am applying for are the Acute Care Float Pool, Medical Unit, and the Cancer Care Unit.

Best of luck to those of us who have submitted/who will be submitting their applications!

I submitted my license verification on December 11 in person and it took about 6 weeks for the BRN to send it to Washington Department of Health. Once they finally got it, it took another week-ish for my application and finger printing to be fully processed. It was endorsed by January 27.

I received the email to interview on Jan 9 and I had to reply to the email by the next day to accept. I was shocked I even got an interview since I was from out-of-state with no NICU experience, I wish I started my endorsement app earlier. Do you happen to know how many new grads are in your cohort?

Yeah they seem really open to hiring out of state applicants! I would definitely recommend applying again if you still qualify and get started on that endorsement ASAP (for any state you plan to work in). I'm not 100% sure, but I think there's about 20-25 people in this cohort.

For those that interviewed, do you have any tips? I'm interviewing for the next cohort and would love some help! I'll be coming from CA!

@jjuan Congrats on getting an interview! When did you apply and when did you get notified about an interview? Just trying to see if I have a chance because I applied on 4/12 and haven't heard anything since. I'm starting to think I didn't make it through so I'll probably try the next cohort!
