Hello All,
I am about to enter a new semester of nursing and just found out today that my upcoming Clinical Instructor doesn't allow students to bring books of any sort to clinicals. Only thing allowed are our nursing supplies, clipboard and notes from our classes. I would like to know if there is a small nursing procedure book out there for LPNs? Hopefully it would be small enough to fit into my clipboard or pocket for easy reference or if it comes in cards like the MediQuick Drug Cards.
TIA,

Will she let you bring a palm pilot? You can buy a cheap one and download multiple procedural books as well as drug books and more! It will fit in your pocket and help you for many years.

Don't forget to find your unit's policy and procedure manual. It will give the step-by-step that you'll be expected to follow on that clinical placement. Chances are your unit has a few other books stored where the manual is- probably a Tabers and MedSurg book. Find the bookshelf! :)
