Hello,
Yes, I downloaded the spreadsheet and contacted all of the options that applied to my clinical in my surrounding area. It was of no help at all. There were only 3 that applied to my first clinical, one of the already had a student, one said they don't take students at all, and they are full of students and are not accepting anymore. Any other suggestions?
I have called the available resources from Walden's list, cold called every single large hospital, family practice office, private practice office, spoke to recruiters/office managers/HR, sent emails to every email address I could get ahold of, asked every single person I work with if they have any contacts in CA. At this point I am at a loss. I've seriously made over 200 calls and left countless voicemails. When I call large facilities they all kind of give me a round about and its very difficult to get in touch with the person I need to. When I finally get there I leave messages, followup, and no answer or I have the wrong department.
You might have to travel outside of the area. I had to travel 1.5hr for my 1st clinical and will be 500 miles away for my second clinical. You can also check your state NP organization, I found 2 through there.

Hello everyone,
I am currently an NP student and am scheduled to start my practicums at the end of August. The problem is that my husband and I currently live in Minnesota but are moving to Stockton, California for his job at the end of July. What is the best way to find preceptors in an area where I don't currently live? I have no connections in the area and am not going to be able to fly and meet any potential preceptors. Any advice is appreciated!
