So, I need some people who is in the nursing program at SDSU or anyone that is applying to give me some advice please!
Well, do you guys think that I even have a chance???
I am taking Anatomy II, Organic chem, sociology, and communication right now and assume that I get all A's
So far, Anatomy I = 10 points
Anatomy II = 10 points
General Bio = 7 points
Microbiology = 7 points
Psychology = 4 points
Sociolgy = 4 points
communication = 4 points
volunteer = 10 points
TEAS = 12 points (that is an estimate, I dont know how they calcuate that)
So total i will have 68 points, what do you guys think that I even have a chance? Also I am going to community college in reno..
Please let me know what you think!
Thanks

my friend who was accepted in 2006 had roughly around 70 points. That year, i believe the cut off was at exactly 70 points. I'm pretty sure it changes every year. good luck!
Thanks! When you said that te cut-off point is 70, does that mean the last applicants that get accepted have 70 points OR 70 points is the lowest score they aceepted?
im assuming anyone who had 70 points or higher got into the program.

I spoke with the Director of the School of Nurse at SDSU and she told me that the cut off for the last few years up until now have always been between 62-66. If you have 70 points, I wouldn't worry about getting in or not since at 70 points, you'd automatically make it.

I am a recent graduate from SDSU SON program. I got into the program back in 2006 and I only had 68 points, but things have changed since then as we were not required to take the TEAS test. I hope this information helps you.
Each fall and spring semester applicants are accepted on a point system and the numbers change depending on many factors. If the cut-off is 64 then the admissions office will review all the applications and then make their decision. That doesn't mean that everyone with over 64 points will be admitted because they only accept a certain number of people each semester and from what I was told they receive more than 600 applications each semester. When I started back in 2006 they were only accepting 90 people each semester but that number has recently increased. Those with the most points (not the least) would be accepted. Best of luck to you.
