Hi everyone, noticed there was not a thread for this upcoming cycle so wanted to make one so we can all keep each other updated 😄
Looks like the app is open now.

Anyone get a response yet? When does this program start again?
I received my scoring but have not heard back since.

Is this for their "Unclassified Specialty Training Programs" app that closed in December? I received an email about being invited to their interview event and was wondering if anyone knows how that works + what questions they can ask? Please anything helps!

I interviewed for MICU/CCU. They told me they will be doing 2nd interviews in 2 weeks, but I also heard they did 2nd interviews the same day. I didn't get a 2nd inteview.
How about you?

I also interviewed for MICU/CCU!! They said 2 weeks till I hear back about a 2nd round as well. No 2nd interview that day for me but tbh I think it's a false rumor. Some units had their interviews conducted upstairs (PCU for example), and I believe people may think that they were invited to a second interview. Also find it unlikely due to low amount of staff and the amount of interviews they had that day, they would be too tired I feel.
if I may ask, how many questions/what questions did they ask you?

I only remember 3 questions. Something about stress, handling conflicts, and handling criticisms. They were all very basic questions. I felt really good about my responses, but you really never know with these things. Did you notice applicants interviewing in scrubs. I think theyre currently VMC employees trying to transition.
Are you a new grad or experienced? And is it your first time interviewing with VMC?

Also got asked 3 (4 if you count being asked to introduce yourself). They were expectations of an ICU environment/nurse, handling conflict, and a clinical scenario. Yeah! A bunch of people in scrubs either from vmc or other facilities.
I am a new grad! You? Interviewed last July at VMC for the same event but for different unit

Yes, there was a clinical question about pneumonia.
I am a new grad also with 6 months of acute care experience in Med-Surg. It's my first time interviewing with VMC.
Do you know how many people they will hire, or have hired in the past? I'm assuming not too many.

Oh shoot looks like we got the same question haha! Awesome!! From what I heard they like a bit of m/s experience. No idea on numbers but I know it's low. 2-3 maybe per unit
Were you invited or walk in?

I had a scheduled invitation.
Damn it's so competitive. I was trying to calculate how many people interviewed for CCU/MICU. I think each interview was about 10-20 minutes and they interviewed for 6 hours. So they probably interviewed 24-36 applicants. And didn't they say we were interviewing for 2 units, CCU and MICU? So maybe they'll hire 2-3 for each unit. That's like 10-16% chance of getting hired LOL.
