Scripps Student Nurse Extern Fall 2024

Hi everyone! Just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone else applied for the student nurse extern maternal child health or ICU transition track? Good luck to everyone who did apply, and any updates throughout the process are appreciated! 🙂

Hey!

I hope everyone's Summer is starting off well!! I applied for the maternal health track last month and got an email for an interview today- she said emails for interview are being sent over the next two ish weeks

Hi,

Should I apply for nurse extern I'm going to my third semester fall 2024 or wait after I graduated? please any advice is helpful

A nurse externship is completed while one is still in school, so you would not be eligible once you've graduated. Look at the requirements for your area facilities and what semesters are required to be completed.

Hi everyone! Sorry for the late reply to this thread. I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about Scripps offering a student nurse externship for a Summer (April/May/June) start date in the past?

I've seen Fall start dates - for those who graduate in December, and I've also seen Spring start dates - for those who graduate in May. But, I graduate in July, so I was wondering if anyone knows about a Summer student externship with Scripps?
