science portion of Teas-insane

i know i have made a million posts about this stupid teas test, but after studying the entire manuel, i totally flunked the science portion of the online practice exam. i did fine on the other parts, but i got a 40 on the science. there was absolutely nothing the same on the test as in the manual and i dont even know where to start or what to do. i am taking it next week and i am going to flunk the science. i have had biology, chem and anatomy and i couldnt answer anything, and i made As in all three classes. i am really at a loss as how to approach this. at first i thought maybe it should just focus on the other sections, but i just cant bear to flunk that part. i have read so many posts that said the science was really basic, but i really felt like there were just random questions from a variety of areas that would require you to really know that particular area. help!!

I hear ya. I took the test already and did very well on everything except the Science part. I have to retake it now because of that. It is so random like questions on rocks and tectonic plates.

I used these sites to study for the science part (got them from another TEAS thread). Plus I used the McGraw-Hill study guide which was pretty much just like the test:

www.chem4kids.com

www.biology4kids.com

www.geography4kids.com

www.physics4kids.com

lavender, thanks for the websites, i will try them. if i take the test next fri. do you think i have time to study from the mcgraw book? were there any genetics questions on your test?

It depends on your study skills. I gave myself 2 weeks to study for the test using that book and did well for the schools I'm applying to. I *think* that on another TEAS thread someone gave the url to download that book for free (not sure which thread, you'll have to skim through the search results).

I had one genetics question, if I remember correctly.
