Undergraduate

Bachelor of Science with a Major in Nursing

The BSN program, also known as the Donald and Dorothy Stabler Nursing program, leads to a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Nursing. After successful completion of the degree, students are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam and be licensed in his or her State.

RN to BS in Nursing

The RN to BS program in Nursing is for current Registered Nurses. The program is offered on a part- or full- time status.

Registered Nurses must have graduated from an NLNAC-accredited program, hold a current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania, and meet program requirements to be eligible for admission into the Nursing program. If these qualifications match you, then you gain credit into the program with just having your RN degree. Students who hold an RN may be granted up to 75 credits for coursework (nursing plus support courses) completed at a community college or all coursework completed at a four-year institution.  Nurses who hold another baccalaureate degree are required to complete only the required nursing and support courses.

Graduate

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

The Master of Science in Nursing program tracks include: Adult-gerontology nurse practitioner, adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist, and nurse educator.

Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist

After successful graduation students are prepared to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing exam to be certified as an adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist AGCNS-BC.

Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Primary Care

To being in Fall, applications are due March 1. After earning the degree, graduates will be eligible for credentialing as an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner by ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) and AANP (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners).

Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Post Master's Certificate

Those who have earned their Master's degree are eligible for the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Post Master's Certificate. This program gives an additional 600+ clinical hours of experience. There are options for licensed and non-APRNs.  Classes begin in fall semester only. After graduation, students are eligible for credentialing as an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner by AGPCNP (ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center) and A-GNP (AANP American Academy of Nurse Practitioners).

Nurse Educator

After graduation, students are eligible for certification as a certified nurse educator (CNE) by the National League for Nursing.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (post-master's DNP)

The post master's DNP is for nurses who have already earned a master's degree. The program is a two-year, 37-credit program offered in an executive format. Students are required to complete 336 hours of clinical time to develop, implement and evaluate an evidence-based scholarly project.

The program culminates with practice immersion experiences within the clinical setting.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (Nurse Anesthetist DNP)

The program has been upgraded to a Doctor of Nursing Practice to stay up-to-date with recommendations. Upon program completion, graduates be eligible for certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
