The University of Utah College of Nursing offers academic degree options that include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. Distance learning is available for MSN and DNP students. Post-APRN certificate programs are also offered through the College.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
There are three tracks available for this degree program:
Pre-Licensure BS in Nursing with Spring and fall semester starts (for students who don't have a nursing license).
Post-Licensure BS in Nursing with fall, Spring, and Summer semester starts and a two-, three-, or four-semester program (for associate's degree prepared nurses).
Nursing Early Assurance program (for high school seniors and college freshmen with fewer than 30 credit hours).
RN to BSN
There are three ways to complete this degree:
The Flexible program offers the ability to complete the program in two, three, or four semesters. The start time varies.
The Adaptable program focuses on Geriatric Nursing Leadership or to prepare to apply directly to a graduate program (MSN, DNP, or PhD).
The Convenient program is available for 100% online completion. Clinical shadowing can be set up at the student's place of employment.
Certificates
Gerontology Interdisciplinary Program
An interdisciplinary study of the aging process and related issues. The certificates are open to students from all academic disciplines and professions. These are available completely online.

The University offers a Master's program that is designed for students desiring an advanced role in Nursing Education, Gerontology, or Nursing Informatics.

Post-MS to DNP
The Post MS-DNP is designed for Masters prepared nurses to obtain the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in one of two pathways: Direct Care for advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) and Organizational Leadership (non-APRN).
Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD)
The PhD program is a distance learning program and is offered to nurses who have earned a bachelor's degree with a major in nursing (BSN, BS) or a master's degree in nursing or related disciplines. There are traditional BS-PhD and MS-PhD tracks available.

Certificates are available for the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certified in one area of advanced nursing practice and seek another specialty area. Program completion provides eligibility to sit for national certification.

Accreditation
The University of Utah, including the degree programs it offers, is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited the baccalaureate degree in nursing, the master's degree in nursing, the Doctor of Nursing Practice, and post-graduate APRN certificates.
The Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) accredited the Certified Nurse Midwifery program.
