Founded in 1999, Roseman University of Health Sciences is a private, non-profit university located in Henderson, Nevada, with a second functioning campus located in South Jordan, Utah.

The College of Nursing at Roseman's Henderson and South Jordan campuses offers an 18-month program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program that may be completed in less than 18 months. For Veterans, there is an HRSA-grant supported Veteran to Bachelor of Science in (VBSN) Nursing program and for current nurses, a recently added 9-month RN-BSN program.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

The BSN program is an 18-month, full-time program. Blocks vary in length depending on the number of credits and whether or not a clinical component is required. Campus locations include Henderson, Nevada and South Jordan, Utah.

Upon successful completion of the curriculum, students are eligible to sit for the NCLEX to become RNs.

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)

This program is designed for students who have earned a bachelor's degree in another field of study or completed the appropriate prerequisites to enroll in the program.

The ABSN Program is a hybrid program that offers the didactic component online through faculty presentations. Clinical rotations, group assignments and laboratory assignments are held in-person at one of the Roseman campuses and/or health-care facilities throughout Southern Nevada and Utah. Campus locations include Henderson, Nevada and South Jordan, Utah.

Frequently Asked Questions

After I graduate, how do I become licensed?

You must apply for, take and pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) required for all registered nurse candidates. You will then become eligible for State licensure as an RN.

How long is the ABSN program?

This is a 15-month accelerated nursing program.

RN to BSN (online)

The 35-week RN to BSN program is structured to support working nurses in completing their baccalaureate nursing education while meeting their other day-to-day responsibilities. The program contains eight (8) Blocks. Students will not have supervised clinical rotations. Students will complete projects that enhance their previous clinical experiences.

Applicants must have an Associate degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, current NCLEX-RN license and completion of pre-requisite courses as outlined by the College of Nursing.

The College of Nursing currently requires a total of 133.9 credits for graduation (based on the nature of the block curriculum). For the RN to BSN program, 40 credits will be allowed for successfully passing the NCLEX-RN; up to 73 major requirements, including 28 upper division nursing credits. The RN to BSN online curriculum consists of 8 blocks and 28 credits delivered over 35-weeks including residency and remediation periods. In addition to the blocks, students are required to attend two 1-week on campus residencies. Campus locations include Henderson, Nevada and South Jordan, Utah.

Veteran to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (VBSN)

The Veteran to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (VBSN) admissions pathway option is designed for prior service/veteran or reservists in the United States military. The VBSN option provides an opportunity for military students to earn credit in identified prerequisites and applicable nursing coursework. Campus locations include Henderson and NV campus.

Eligibility Requirements (not all inclusive)

• Prior service member with an honorable or general discharge, including reservists, as documented with a DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty)
• Meet all admission requirements for program of choice: BSN or ABSN

Accreditation and Approval

Roseman University of Health Sciences is accredited by The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

The full-time, 18-month BSN and ABSN programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

The Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Nursing will host an on-site CCNE accreditation visit for the Pre-licensure nursing programs (BSN, ABSN, & RN-BSN) on November 12-14, 2018.

Programs located in Nevada have received full approval from the Nevada State Board of Nursing. 

The BSN program in South Jordan, UT has received full approval from the Utah State Board of Nursing.
