Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
The Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is on campus and offers a baccalaureate degree for the student interested in becoming a Registered Nurse (RN). The traditional program is completed within eight (8) consecutive semesters or four (4) years.
RN to BSNOnline
The online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN) degree program is designed for Registered Nurses (RN) that possess an Associate of Science with a major in Nursing degree (ASN) or Nursing Diploma and hold a current Tennessee (or multi-state) Registered Nurse (RN) license.
The program length is 16-months and is offered entirely online. The clinical aspects of some courses do have a clinical component including participation in a community service assignment and implementation of a change project in the work environment. The courses online are identical to those completed on campus.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program prepares nurses for an advanced nursing practice specialty role with a focus on leadership in the nursing profession and future doctoral study.

MSN Online
The online MSN is offered with two concentrations for focused career outcomes, the Nurse Educator and the Administrator.
The MSN Nurse Educator (39 semester hours) as well as the MSN Administrator (35 semester hours) can be completed within five consecutive 15-week semesters.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
The program consists of:
- 36 prescribed semester credit hours
- 1,000 documented post-baccalaureate clinical hours
- Demonstration of identified final degree competencies
- Three onsite academic conferences
- Degree requirements completed within six years
