Located in northwest Miami-Dade County in Hialeah, Florida National University (FNU) was founded in 1982 as Computech Institute. The institution opened its first class on January 4, 1988, as Florida International Institute, initially offering programs in business, computer, dental, electronics, medical, paralegal, and travel fields. As it grew, the institution transitioned to Florida International College and then, in September 1989, to Florida National College. On March 24, 2012, it officially became Florida National University.

The university offers a variety of career, certificate, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate degree programs across its three campuses. Mode of Learning 

The MSN and RN-BSN programs are offered online. All other nursing programs at FNU are offered on campus and require in-person attendance.

NCLEX Pass Rates

The Nursing school recorded an impressive 100% Pass rate on the Licensing exam in  2021, marking a significant achievement for the Nursing school and members of the faculty.  This outstanding success underscores the commitment of the faculty members and the institution to producing quality Nursing professionals.

Admissions

To be admitted to the bachelor's level nursing programs at Florida National University, students must achieve a combined score of 66% on the TEAS exam. While this indicates that the nursing school is less selective, students are encouraged to submit their best application.
