Black Hawk College, originally established as Moline Community College in 1946, is a respected community college with campuses in Moline and Kewanee, Illinois, the latter located about five miles south of Kewanee City. Renamed in 1961, the college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and recognized by the Illinois Community College Board. It also holds specialized accreditations for its nursing programs from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and for its physical therapy programs from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, underscoring its commitment to quality education and training.
