school nursing information help please

Hi guys after a lot of thought I have come to the conclusion that school nursing is what I want in a nursing career.I recently graduated and am sitting for my boards next week.was just wondering is anyone had some info on getting started in the corpus christi texas school system.thanks

There is a job board at the Region 2 Education Service Center

The are no school nurse lsitings posted at this time.

Region 2 includes 42 independent school districts, 7 charter schools and covers 11,000 square miles. The headquarters is in downtown Corpus Christi

School nurse positions tend to be filled by October. It is not like a hospital - if we are lucky, there is one of us per school. Often we cover many schools, so there are not an abundance of positions, filled or unfilled.

There are workshops beng held for school nurses on Columbus Day -
