Good morning, everyone
The nurse is out. The clinic is especially busy between 11a – 1p as this is peak medication time – please be mindful of this when deciding if a student needs see the nurse today.
Please REMEMBER to ONLY SEND STUDENTS WHO:
-HAVE FEVER OF 100F OR HIGHER (you should have a thermometer in your sling bag)
-VOMITING THAT IS WITNESSED BY AN ADULT
-INJURIES THAT HAVE HAPPENED TODAY AT SCHOOL
-BUG BITES/STINGS THAT HAPPENED TODAY AT SCHOOL
-ETC.
Please use your best judgement to identify if scholar truly needs to see the nurse and remember Band-Aids and thermometers are in your sling bags , thermometers to check temperatures, as well as if scholar has a scrape or cut, soap and water with Band-Aid is enough. Thank you for your help in advance. Have a great day!

Hello Fellow School Nurses,
I have been out a couple of times before but I don't get a sub for the clinic and our receptionist (who is also the attendance clerk, and CRC all in one) ends up being the back up nurse. Does anyone have an email template that they send out to the school/teachers for when they are gone? It's my first year and I'm not sure what to write. Thank you for your support!
