Hi!
I am working on my BSN in Iowa, but California is home for me. Does anyone know if I can register to take the NCLEX in California instead of taking it in Iowa? Thanks!

If your Iowa educational program meets the requirements for nursing licensure in California, you can certainly apply for initial licensure in California. In addition, NCLEX can be taken anywhere in the world where it is offered.
However, if I were in your position, I would get an initial license in Iowa and apply for licensure by endorsement in California because the process of trying to obtain an initial CA license is similar to pulling teeth. It is a lengthy process.

It seems like those who take the NCLEX for the CA BON wait for an eternity to get their results back.
