This is my first time on, is there any school nurses out there who can give me an idea how to get started looking for jobs in school health in GA.

Hi Leeyon. Try the website http://www.teachgeorgia.org which list school job openings for the state of GA, including nursing positions. You might also contact your local board of education for information.

I also recommend checking out the state school nurse website: http://www.nasn.org/affiliates/georgia.htm

They can give you information about orientation programs, qualifications and some state sites have help wanted boards.

Some school systems in GA hire their own nurses and some

have school nurses employed by the local health dept.

You need to find out which your county hires.
