Scholarships for Second Degree Students

Published

Hi,

I have been accepted into a Direct Entry Masters Program in Nursing (yayyyyy!!!!). I will start school in summer. Now I have a bigger task at hand - find money. I have looked at some scholarships, but they require you to work after you graduate. I dont have a problem with that. But I am just curious how easy it is to find a job. For any one who has taken such a scholarship, how did it work out for you?

If you have any other resources for scholarships, please provide me with some information. Thanks!!!

Congratulations on being accepted!!!! I'm still waiting to hear back from two schools I've applied to for the Fall. I will watching this thread closely as both institutions are extremely pircey!! Best of luck!!

Good Luck to you - i hope you get into the school of your choice :) Have you started exploring grants or scholarships? Pls. let me know if you have any information that you can share.

Congrats! I hope to be accepted into a similar program for Fall as well. Being a second degree (actually 3 - I have a BA and an expensive @ss MA) I have done TONS of research on scholarships available to us. Unfortunately, I have yet to come across any specifically for direct entry MSN students. Most are forgiveness programs, scholarships, specialized fields (oncology, geriatrics, minority nursing, etc). But should I come across any, I will mos def post. My advice - apply for any and everything you can!

Best of luck!
