Scholarships/loans available for students

I was wondering if anyone could provide any insight to scholarships and grants available for nursing students. I am applying to Queens University in Charlotte, NC for their Accelerated BSN program and it's pretty pricey so if anyone knows of any aid available please help!!!

The financial aid office at the school should be able to provide you with that information -- have you talked to them?

Thank you for your reply. Yes I have spoken to the finaid office but I was just wondering if there were any options outside of what the school can provide that anyone may be aware of. Are you a student there? May I ask where you attend or attended?

Coincidentally (small world, isn't it), I attended the Presbyterian Hospital SON back when it really was the Presbyterian Hospital SON, before it closed down and "gave" the name to Queens (and I have a lot of v. negative feelings about Queens using the Presby name now :down:), and we took our academic classes at Queens.

There are some nursing-specific scholarship programs offered by the state of NC, which I'm sure the QU financial aid office knows about. If they haven't already directed you to these, check the http://www.cfnc.org website and look for the Nurse Education Scholarship-Loan Program (NESLP), Nurse Scholars Program (NSP), and Health, Science, and Mathematics program (HSM).
