Scheduled my Physical for LPN program Lake Tech

Man, it's been a while since I've gotten any shots! I wanted to post this because after calling around, I found out that some programs have a contract with the nearest walk-in clinic for the physical and shots. I was surprised, Centracare had better prices than the Health Department! I was also wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on Stethoscopes and SHOES! I've been seeing a lot of good praise about the Litman Classic II, but nothing about good quality shoes!

Yeah I was surprised that CentraCare was cheaper! I ended up getting my physical at US healthworks in Leesburg it was $60 I believe and I got my shots at the health dept, I spent around $90 there. I had to get my PPD done and a tetorifice shot because it had been over 7 years. And for shoes, I read in the manual online that they had to be white polishable shoes, is that true? And where did you end up getting your scrubs from? Have you bought your books yet? I wasnt sure if there was a book that we didnt need to buy for the CNA portion?

Also, for the stethoscope, where did you buy yours at?

Hey, I actually answered this on a different comment! butttttt in case you didn't see it, go to medisave.net you get free engraving on littman classic II.... or you go to amazon it's like $3 cheaper but no engraving 3 I also got a little organizer with a pen light and medical bandage scissors because I think that was something you're supposed to eventually have. ALSO medisave.net has a 5% off discount you can get off of their facebook or you can just google "medisave coupon" ALSO My friend told me you don't have to get an expensive one if you don't want to.

I'll ask my friend about the cna book part... and also for the scrubs, make sure you get nude under wear so they don't show through! I think as far as polishable, they mean if it gets a scuff on it, you've got to be able to get it out... so maybe they just mean leather? I'm not sure... but I got mine at Kmart!
