I left my current job for a position in a large teaching hospital (busy ICU) and was unsuccessful...fired. Luckily my old job loved me and allowed to return.
However, I left for multiple reasons one being that I was sooo burned out. It is a medical floor with the typical politics we complain about, not enough staff, more scripting and BS, workload forever increasing etc. I have seen a couple of jobs I would be interested in (both in my facility)..one for home health weekends only and one for nursing IT (day shift 5 days a week).
I'm qualified for both but scared to venture away from the bedside at this point for fear of not being accepted back in acute care if I chose to do so.
There really is no question here but I'm open to advice, similar stories, opinions or whatever.
