SC to NYS NP License?

I'm currently enrolled at the University of South Carolina in their MSN-FNP program. Has anyone applied for a new york state license from here? I plan on practicing in NYS and have my RN license in NYS. Was wondering if anyone ran into any issues?? Thanks! ?

I was looking into endorsing my APRN licensure to NYS (I also hold an RN license from NY), but I've decided I just can't bring myself to go back to the snow after being in the nice sunny, hot weather of Texas. ?

Depending on NYS's grad school requirement when it comes to APRN education and subsequent licensure (like there is with Walden University), there shouldn't be any issues. If NY does not accept students from your school, then it probably would be best to obtain your license first in your home state and then endorse to NYS afterward. I wanna say that once you are board-certified, it'll make it easier to be licensed in NYS, even if you're a graduate of Walden, but don't quote me on that.
