SBVC Nursing Fall 2021

Published

Hello,

I was wondering who else is also applying for SBVC for falll 2021. I'm super nervous because I am only applying with 35 points so we shall see!

Me too. I am praying I have enough points to get invited. But I have no clue how the other ppl did. Hopefully we all have a chance since there wasn’t a lot of ppl taking the test.

Last time we got the email within 10 days

I wish they would have told us how long it would be until we were notified.

Hey guys! I was curious to know how many points after the HESI you might have? I'm so anxious and hoping I got in. After the HESI I have a total of 70 points. I was also looking at the number of participant's while taking the exam on zoom and it was in the 40's and usually that's how many students they pick for their cohort so I wonder if those that passed are moving forward. I did also notice on the application that you can only take the HESI with valley and outside HESI scores are not accepted so I'm feeling hopeful.

I was wondering the same thing about the amount of people taking the exam to those they take into the program.

Exactly! I read last semester had way more taking the exam. I know majority of my friends got accepted through Chaffey, CSUSB, private schools since they're accepting more frequently vs community college. So maybe that's why it was low this time around due to the pandemic and time being precious. Do you mind charring your total points? It always seems from past forums that people disregard the question LOL

Overall I have 70 points as well.

I was surprised to see a low number of ppl on the zoom this time.

I think I have about 80 points overall.

If I would of had one more point on the HESI exam I could of had an extra 15 points overall. I think its crazy how the HESI is worth so much its daunting, they didn't distribute the points evenly in my opinion. for example each rank gives you 15 points, but the highest is only 5 more than the others. like the questions in between for points are 15, 4, 8, 8, they didn't divide the score evenly. I have a 4.0 on science and GE's, but the the HESI makes you or breaks you after all that hard work. I don't feel as great with a 70 but keeping hopeful. I'm sure there's people in the same boat as me.

I agree with you completely. The points don’t make sense. I worked hard for my full points to get invited for the HESI and the HESI is the deal breaker.

I had 41 points going and in and now I have 76. I’m hoping I get accepted.

Just got my acceptance letter
