Tweety that kind of self reflection can be very helpful

Stars that would be great if we got a whole day instead

Ado that's a neat design for a box

NJ22 I wish it was in the 50s here

Managed to get out of work at 2 as planned, although had to cut lunch a bit short and leave some non-urgent stuff for Monday.

Then after work did laundry and baking, made lemon loaf and oatmeal raisin cookies from some previously frozen dough.  Did some  cleaning and relaxed the  rest of the day

Our minister has Covid, so I tested myself yesterday, thankfully negative.  Will test again today to be sure

This morning I'm headed out to get coffee then drive north to do the habitat restoration.  Looks like we'll be cutting brush mostly.  Since I can't make the next 2 events I really wanted to come to this one,  despite it being very cold today

Only in the teens right now, upper 20s later in the day.   going to dress very carefully for the weather

☀️BRIGHT SUNSHINE!☀️

It's in the mid-60's, no rain predicted until a week from today. And next Friday they said, would be up to 78 degrees. Hmmm. As usual I am dubious of the forecasts.

Currently am in the midst of doing four loads of laundry. I use up 3-4 of the 8.7 oz. bottles of SHOUT Advanced Gel Set-in Stain Remover AND a one and a half of the 16 oz spray bottles MAX of Spray'n'Wash. I don't know why we all just don't wear bibs!

The Nuts-Fruit and Seeds Restaurant has been open for about 1/2 hour and is being well attended by the flying critters. We have a couple of REALLY fat squirrels. Speaking of fat animals, I wonder when the Ground Hog will be waking up and coming out of his Winter torpor? I'll let you know when he makes his appearance.

Guess I'll pay a few bills, then just finish the washing. The Supper Question will be 'emerging' in about an hour and 1/2. Meh. Like I said before, now when hubby suggests something, I say, "Okay."

Hope y'all are havin' a good'n!

PS: dianah, I am halfway through The Crack At The Edge of the World. First of all, the book-cover design is amazing, folding out to a poster-size sheet with a LOT of info on it. It is fascinating; I've learned a LOT so far! There are things that are complicated, but even if I don't understand ALL of it, I read it anyway, because I figure nobody's going to give me a test!. The author does explain stuff very well, and it isn't just dry textbook-type stuff. He is also given to humor, and I love his vocabulary. Also of great interest are the 1st person stories of some of those who have gone through earthquakes and all the after-shocks (some of which can be stronger than the initial quake!)

There is a footnote on page 62 which tickled me and made me encouraged to read on through the whole book-----"Some geological reference works insist of calling this the North America Plate (a tectonic plate)----one adjective followed by two nouns rather than the more customary two adjective followed by one noun.  Pedantic distinctions are as common in geology as they are in lexicography: I remain terminologically agnostic in this case, but will keep the usage "American."

I never heard of anybody being  ? "terminologically agnostic"....but I thought that was funny, and that does make for an easier read!

Next book up for a read is the one about the Titanic.

No Stars, he has become one of my very favorite authors, for all the reasons you mentioned!  I love all the little tidbits of information he tucks throughout the books! And I had no idea the book cover unfolded to that size!  I missed that "little" tidbit!  So glad you are enjoying it, though I agree, with the way he writes, one must closely attend!

I see on the inside front page, there is a whole list of books he has written, and I will probably see if the library has any I can borrow.

I'm about to start the 8th or 9th chapter tonight. Anyway, thanx for the book!
