We are at 80 degrees, it is mostly sunny, but the humidity isn't high. This is, however, another day with 1% chance of rain. That is so weird to me!
I 'had to' go to the pharmacy for hubby, as he still hasn't bothered to get another driver's license, and he was thinking he had a refill for Xanax, for which you have to show a driver's license for. Well, no Xanax today! Just Paxil and Thyroid medicine. He called the pharmacy and I'm not sure when it will be OK (legal) to pick the Xanax; he told me they said to call the pharmacy to check on refill status "in a day or two", before driving over there again. ? So hubby isn't very thrilled about that.
The Siesta Twins are doin' their thang right now. Will wake them up when it is time to turn on the TV for the baseball game. Meanwhile I am enjoying the peace and quiet! Aaaaahhhhh! Except, ooh, his phone just rang and woke him up, and now he is trying to call the pharmacy again but messes up because it is an interactive answering machine now. When the voice says "What are you calling about?" and "How can I help you today?" he keeps saying "Xanax", which the recorded lady can not compute. I tell him to just say "refill" or "speak with a pharmacist." Now he can't find the pharmacy listed in his saved phone numbers. I just love it (HA!) when he is just a bit too drunk to follow directions or remember that he already talked to the pharmacist. I asked, "Do you want to use my phone?" soooo, he sez "No."
Now he has gotten through after it rang forever, and a real person answered and asked him to "hold, please." Now the pharmcist said to him, "Your wife just came and picked up some of your medicine." Then he asked again about the Alprazolam, she said, "No, remember, I just told you, we haven't heard back from the doctor's office, and it will probably be Monday or Tuesday." I will bet y'all $1.00 that the doc won't okay a refill until hubby makes an office visit. Then I'll have to listen to him grouse and complain about doctor's always wanting our money. The fact the Medicare rules say he has to have an office visit q6/mo to keep getting the med prescription rewritten makes no dent in his brain.
Here I am complaining about him again. Gads what a boring life!
Yesterday I saw the retina doctor for my annual follow-up and all looks good. He reminded me that between the detachment and the macular hole I've had 2 conditions, either of which could have left me blind in my right eye. Is he defensive? Wanting effusive praise? I *am* glad and thankful.
We brought in some peppers from the garden. They seem thin to me. Haven't tasted yet. Trying to watch out for the sensitive tummies around here.
Dried pineapple is good. I also like dried mango.

Thankfully another good day at work, and no new cases. Has been a good few days
After work drove out to see the Irish pub, was disappointed to see how tiny it was...think the bar had only room for 3 or 4 stools...and a bit run down. So stopped at a local place instead that I've been too before
Lost a favorite lapel pin of mine, it fell off in the car and I wasn't able to find it despite searching everywhere. Will need to order another one
Today will do some bird watching before taking the cat to the vet for a follow up appointment for some blood work, should be the last time for this
