Tweety glad no more overtime at least for now

NJ22 that's an awful lot of eggs

Stars I hope you can get that balance transfer figured out

Work ended up being busier than expected.  Got a new case and the person I was covering for got a new case.  Finished the latter and got most of the stuff done for the former.  Then before I left I got another new one.  Not sure what is going on.  Also got some cases transferred to me from someone else.  Have a feeling I'm going to be glad when this next week or two is over

Rest of the day was fine.  Went back to that candy store I visited last month, got some candy, was happy with most of the choices.  Although to be honest I don't think I feel any need to go back there again

Today will head out bird watching, stop at the farmer's market, and have lunch with dad.  Am also supposed to go downtown to an outdoor concert for our long delayed second date, but rain and thunderstorms appear likely so we'll probably have to reschedule for next Sat

Svengoolie has The Leech Woman which I've seen before.  TV has been acting up a bit, might need to be replaced soon.  Getting rid of it will be a pain as it's an old CRT and very heavy

Another hot day in the mid 90s here

Weather report sez VERY hot temps for the next week. But our 'hot' isn't nearly as hot as other parts of the country; at least we haven't reached the three-digit temps. When I lived in Nashville, the summers were excruciatingly hot; I had no AC in my old Chevy and no AC in any of my apartments. But heck, even throughout my childhood we had no AC, and slept in a third-floor (ie attic) bedroom. I used to not like AC at all because it made my bones ache. It wasn't until I was over 45 that I stopped being acclimated to high heat and had begun menopause with dreadful hot flashes, and had to use multiple fans to move the air around. Now, as a SENIOR citizen, I am very happy for AC and pray not to ever be without it.

Can't take Nannie out in the car to do errands (pick up one of my refills at Wally-World Pharmacy) because I can't leave her in a running car, as when it is running, the doors of the car don't lock; can't leave her in a locked car w/o the AC going because then I would be arrested for elder abuse!

She's out of BOOST and may be out of underpads by the time SiL gets to bring more over on Monday. I think she is taking Nannie to some appt. in early afternoon. Said she plans on getting Nannie up, so I can go to my appt w/ personal banker at 10 AM without having to do that. SiL has something wrong with her right hip or lower back...a torn something-or-other , but I can't remember what it is. She has been going to the chiropractor, and tried dry needling, but I'm not sure it is helping as much as she'd hoped. Not sure if there would be a surgical repair required, but I get the idea she isn't inclined to do anything like that. She says it doesn't hurt as much when she is moving around, and she is a VERY active person. When they went to the beach, I gave her some of my Robaxin because sitting in a car for very long, is what REALLY hurts her most.

I'm not sure if she is upset with me over something I said, or did, or didn't do, but it sorta feels like she is avoiding me (?us?). Unless she says something to me, I can't know what's going on with her. Maybe it's just (just?!) the right hip pain, or that she has over-extended herself with all the responsibilities she's taken on. Oh well, not my problem to solve unless she says something to me....

Nannie is mentally unable to understand about keeping her left wrist supported, and moves it off the pillow all the time. I have given up trying to adjust it to the way it SHOULD be, and it is only when it is at a BAD angle that I will 'fix it'. Last night she pulled out about 2-3 feet of the cotton wrapping out from under her cast, and had 2 feet of ace wrap hanging out also. I cut off the cotton and rewrapped what I could of the ace wrap. Below her knuckles, it was quite edematous and resembled a turtle shell.

Guess I'll do my usual laundry and dishes, Happy Housewife that I am.

Hope all are doing well-------

Hi. Yesterday was quite warm, mid 80's, the perfect temp as far as I'm concerned. dh didn't complain as much as usual, perhaps his week in Omaha in 90 temps acclimated him a little. Last night was really humid, up until the wind came up. The bedsheets felt damp. Today, cool, 69 with a few sprinkles. dh is moaning and groaning about cutting the grass. Well, it wasn't raining an hour ago, and it only takes like 10 minutes to do the front. Oh well. I had a decent run this morning. I found someone's debit card on the sidewalk, and because the bank that issued it was open, I took it there.

I gathered chicken eggs, another 6 today. dd said she'd take some when she gets back from Portland on Monday. I boiled some of our store-bought eggs to have for snacks, and make room for fresh ones. And I accidentally dropped on the fresh ones and broke the shell, so I microwaved and chopped it and mixed it into the dogs' food. They liked that!

We finally made some camping reservations for this Summer. We are going to the Oregon coast (one of our favorite places) for 5 days at the beginning of August.

I didn't sleep well last night due to the humidity, so maybe I'll take a nap. I also have an online book from the library, that I keep forgetting about. It's called the Throne and it's based on Machiavelli.

A-Yup, yup, yup~
Got the dishes done, the laundry, too, and Nannie's bed made. Dumped all the recycling and trash. Pin a rose on my nose! 😇

Gathered MY laundry, which I will probably do tomorrow. Now I will take it easy for a short while, and figure out what I will do about supper, which will be around an hour or so.
