Work ended up not being too busy yesterday, apart from having to do something for the coworker who was off that took a while, but otherwise not that bad

After work went to the potluck with the gay group.  My friend B was there, as were a lot of regulars, got to talk to some new people too.  Mostly was outside despite the humidity

Little tired this morning, took a while to go to sleep, had a tornado watch and had my weather radio on and probably anticipating it would go off and wake me, thankfully it didn't

Today should be pretty ordinary...bird watching and lunch with dad, some baking later today.  Will stop at the farmer's market, this will be the last time a favorite vendor, a donut maker, will be there, they are going out of business

Svengoolie has Invaders From Mars, a 50s scifi, usually skip those

Will similar to yesterday, upper 80s but no rain expected today

Good morning!

Slept in the morning but took a sleeping pill.  I'm off today and tomorrow and picking up an overtime shift.  I thought I was covering a nurse who wanted the day off but turns out she didn't want to do charge and they needed a charge nurse.  Oh well, that's my role, but I feel like I was mislead a bit.

I for the life of me can't get my new headphones to turn on and connect to my phone.  I"ll try to trouble shoot it but it's frustrating that when my phone search for the device it doesn't acknowledge it.  Guess I'll return it.

I'm going to the theater later today for a matinee otherwise not much else going on.

I wound up returning those headsets.  It's my third pair and I'm smart enough to figure it out but something is defective in the blue tooth mechanism.  It's not my phone because I connected to a friends bluetooth speaker and my phone found it no problem, but it's not finding these headsets.  Easy peasy.  Printed off a label, took it to UPS and the new one is arriving tomorrow.  

I know people were dying to know the outcome.

91 degrees, with a feels-like of 109 degrees (UGH!) and humidity of 61% and chances of rain at 5 PM and 9 PM.

I got up and brushed my teeth, washed my face, and then the doorbell rang! OMG! It was a "girlfriend" of the guy 2 doors over, who apparently has a problem with anger or something; She was shaking and had two black eyes. She asked if she could borrow a phone. She called 3 or 5 different people with no luck in getting a ride. She said she only had $5 and the cab cost $25 (!!?!!) Well I didn't want her on my front porch if she or he was going to be a problem. He wasn't home at the time, and so I gave her a $20 bill and told her to call the cab and get somewhere safe. (SMH)  I hope not to have any further drama arrive on my doorstep! I feel bad for her, but variations of this event have happened before with other women.....not with the black-eyes, but with the 'wanting to get away' type activities. I can think of 4 different women besides her who made the mistake of  getting involved with him over the last 9 years. It is pitiful.

Having coffee and hoping my meds kick in. Not having terrible pain as previously was going on, but the aches are kind of echoing in the usual spots. Have to go do the Nannie AM-routine pretty soon. Truth be told, I'd rather curl up and go back to sleep! No big plans or chores to accomplish.....well, there is, but I am not doing much of any of it today! 

Okay, time to go downstairs and start the day. Hoping the "domestic" problems of the neighbors is over with for now. 

Have a feeling I probably will be back by here later. So, have a good'n, y'all

Gosh, you are an awfully talkative bunch today! Maybe a few of you will post after I close down for the night. Anyway it was a day, and an evening, too. Nannie was OCD with her clothes....she'd adjust and adjust her sleeves, her pant-legs, her socks, the hemline of her jersey....it was so maddening that I turned sideways on the sofa so I could not see her. The minute she moved, something about her clothes had moved during her activities, so she had to do it all over again. Sad, but at least it kept her quiet! 

Now it is my turn to be quiet. YAY! or should I whisper it: yay!
