I just got an email saying that I'm an alternate, but from what I've been reading it seems like everyone not accepted is "an alternate”… I did notice on the email it says "AL" then a number. I wonder if that number is our alternate number...

Hi 

I also was placed on the alternate list and in the subject line my AL # was 1, does that mean I'm next on the alternate list or is that I'm on the 1st alternate list maybe they have many?

Curious as to what your number was also?  I'm not sure if that is our number or not, since in the email, the letter does refer to to our lottery number, but they don't specify it in the attachment.

Yeah I suppose it could mean anything or nothing at all... Mine was AL 3. If the numbers do have anything to do with our places on the list, 1 and 10 are pretty promising considering they took 120 applicants! 

I won't lose hope yet!

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.  I just wish we knew a little bit more information on the numbering; then at least we could be somewhat more optimistic.  Best of luck!

I met the requirements but didn't make the lottery my alt number is 6 staying positive. Congratulations to the ones that got in and good luck to those on the wait-list. Hopefully we get good news soon.

I got it on my personal email which is what I put on my application
