Hello! ? Has anyone taken their test yet? I saw that they do not allow scratch paper at all. They said there is a built-in whiteboard, but I don't see how that will be efficient with such little time and taking the test on a laptop. Just wondering what other people used, if anything. I need to work my math problems out, so having something to write on is a must. I might just get my own physical whiteboard and use it like the live proctored tests allow you to do, but don't want to be disqualified. 

I reached out to SMC, and they said no scratch paper and to contact NLN about specifics on the whiteboard, but was wondering if anyone has already taken it here. Thanks and best of luck to us all.

no scratch paper?? no way! wow. can anyone else that has done the test confirm they used no scratch paper? that’s a bit extreme

I agree. This was the message I got from SMC:

"I hope all is well!

A SIMPLE calculator is built into the exam, as well as a white board.  I'm not sure how the white board works... so you may want to check with the NLN on specifics if you need it.  I've just been told that physical scratch paper is not allowed as there is no way to prove it was destroyed at the end of the test.

Just finished my test. Venting because I’m sure some of you feel the same LOL the calculator and the white board were super wack! The screens were totally blocking the questions.  But questions weren’t too tough. They said we could see results 4 hours after we take it! I think? *sigh* good luck to us all! ❤️

Thanks for the heads up! Can you tell me about the use of the whiteboard? Is it easy to access/use? I bought a whiteboard to use because they allow them with the live proctors as long as you show them, but it seems like for the Proctorio you cannot use anything. ?  I know that I won't be able to use the built-in whiteboard very easily since I never use such computer tools. Besides blocking the question, was it hard to use? I'm scared of using up valuable time trying to use it. Any advice would be great.

OOf yes the white board was a bit hard to work with!

Also, the results were available about 30 minutes after finishing the exam ?

Sorry for the late reply! Whiteboard was tricky did kind of slow me down. But was helpful for like algebra questions. I didn’t think of asking about using my own. The calculator was just not user friendly.

Yes! The calculator white board situation totally threw me in a loop! Coupled with the wack whiteboard and the time. 

Has anyone heard back regarding the program?
